Our approach

Language profile and inspiration

At Engelska Franska Förskolan we have three departments with a French profile and four departments with an English profile. Supported by research, we know that children learn languages best through "one educator-one language." Therefore, there is always at least one Swedish-speaking educator in each group, along with either an English-speaking or French-speaking educator in each group.

Sustainability and health

We offer a healthy diet, with all fruits being organic, and we provide organic milk for our meals. Our food is delivered from Bra Mat, and we also have a kitchen educator who assists in serving the food to our departments. The preschool is sugar-smart and avoids added sugar as much as possible.

We encourage children to enjoy physical activity, including simple yoga.

Our inspiration

We find a lot of inspiration in both the Reggio Emilia philosophy and Montessori pedagogy. We have been inspired by them, and we talk and reflect a lot on our view of children.

We believe that children are competent and capable on their own. Here, children are encouraged to test their theories, and we educators are here to support and guide them in finding answers on their own.

At Engelska Skolor och Förskolor we further develop our sustainability efforts every year. We believe it's important to equip our children and students for global citizenship. Clarity and openness

Our goal is for the preschool's activities to feel clear - for everyone. This means that the educators set up a fun, well-planned, and educational everyday life for your children. A daily routine where children feel involved and valued, where they receive support to grow from secure and clear adults.

Parent cooperation

We appreciate close collaboration with our parents and highly value daily contact. Through the preschool app Tyra, parents can access children's portfolios, blogs, Friday letters, and much more.
